Study finds Tulalip Tribes wetlands healthy

The Tulalip Tribe of Washington is conducting a baseline study of wetlands on the reservation.

Focusing on four wetlands, tribal biologists have found a wide number of species, including some not native to the area. They also discovered six tail mutations among red-legged frog tadpoles.

By tracking the size and number of amphibians, the study has shown that the wetlands are very healthy. The study will help plan and keep track of changes in the future.
