An all-Native student team from Oregon will compete in the National Science Bowl in Washington, D.C., this week.

The five students from Chiloquin High School are members or descendants of the Klamath Tribes. They are one of 64 teams competing in the contest and only one of two all-Native teams.

In addition to the science bowl, the students have been invited to the White House to attend the signing of an Indian education bill.

The competition takes place April 29-May 3 at the National 4-H Conference Center in Chevy Chase, Maryland.
