The Eastern Shoshone Tribe of Wyoming is finally starting construction on a $30 million casino expansion project. The tribe is adding a 61-room hotel, an outdoor patio, conference rooms, a swimming pool and a coffee bar to the Shoshone Rose Casino in Lander. The project is being financed by the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community of Minnesota.

The work will last about a year and will create 100 construction jobs, County 10 News reported. When it's finished, the casino will add 40 to 50 permanent jobs, County 10 said. The tribe recently signed a new Class III gaming compact that runs to 2046. Get the Story:
