On December 20, the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut will find out whether it can open a slot machine facility in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The tribe and its partners are one of five groups vying for a slot license in the city. The $560 million Foxwoods Casino Philadelphia would be located on the Delaware River waterfront right off Interstate 95.
The project is one of several out-of-state gaming ventures being pursued by the tribe. The Pequots are financing a California tribe's casino.
