The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut and its partners are seeking a license to operate a slot machine casino in Pennsylvania.
The tribe would own 30 percent of the proposed Foxwoods Casino Philadelphia. Other partners include the Grammy-winning musician Quincy Jones.
The casino would be located in south Philadelphia. The tribe is vying for one of two casinos available in the city.
The Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut won a license and is opening a slot facility today.
