The Table Mountain Rancheria in California will pay a gambler $10,000 for a faulty jackpot.
Sornpaserd Unkeowannulack thought he won $737,203 on a slot machine at the Table Mountain Casino. But a preliminary investigation showed the device, manufactured by International Game Technology, malfunctioned.
The tribe said it would pay Unkeowannulack, a longtime customer, anyway. A motorcycle that was part of the jackpot will be donated to a children's hospital for use in a raffle.
The Seminole Tribe of Florida just paid a gambler $259,945.75 for a faulty jackpot. That was the entire amount of the alleged win.
