Grand Traverse Band to break ground on $80M casino

The Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians will break ground next month on an $80 million casino. The 347,000-square-foot facility will include a 120-room hotel, a 64,000-square-foot gaming floor, a concert and entertainment area, restaurants and shops. It replaces the decade-old Turtle Creek Casino. Construction is expected to take 20 to 24 months. The facility is located on the shores of Grand Traverse Bay. Get the Story:
