The Tohono O'odham Nation is breaking ground on Monday on an $80 million casino resort, the first in the Tucson area to feature a hotel.
The tribe is building the new Desert Diamond Casino at the site of the old casino. The old facility will remain in operation until the new building is finished.
In addition to a 150-room hotel, the resort will feature restaurants, entertainment venues, banquet space and other amenities, the tribe said.
