Kevin Leecy, the chairman of the Bois Forte Band of Chippewa, was elected vice chairman of the National Indian Gaming Association.
Leecy was sworn in last Thursday during NIGA's annual trade show and conference. The event took place in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
"Indian gaming is meant to help Indian people," Leecy said.
