The Lac Vieux Desert Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians is considering a new casino in Gogebic County, Michigan.
The tribe says it wants to gain public support for the project before moving forward. Preliminary plans call for a resort-style facility with an indoor water park.
The tribe operates one casino and sued the owners of Detroit casinos after it was frozen out of the bidding process. The lawsuit resulted in a $79 million settlement for the tribe.
