The Mohegan Tribe went for a Native approach with the newest eatery at its casino.
The Uncas American Indian Grill opened last July. It features foods indigenous to New England tribal cuisine, such as clams, corn and Johnny cakes.
Cooks also try to use as many local products as possible. But not everything is Native -- the bagel bar, for example, doesn't have anything to do with Mohegan culture, the lead chef said.
