The Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians will open a new $60 million hotel at its casino.
The 324-room Soco Tower will bring the casino's overall hotel capacity to 576 rooms.
The hotel will fill high demand for rooms at the casino, which is managed by Harrah's Entertainment.
The casino brings in a reported $155 million in profits annually. The tribe is seeking a compact with the state to offer certain Class III games.
