The National Indian Gaming Association [Web Site] will hold a press conference in Washington, D.C, on Tuesday, July 12, to announce a new venture aimed at preventing crime at tribal casinos.
The EagleIntel Network is described as an "intelligence network" that will enable tribes to share information. The goal is to prevent criminal activity within the $19 billion Indian gaming industry.
On hand to make the announcement will be:
Ernest L. Stevens, Jr., Chairman, National Indian Gaming Association
Tex Hall, President of the National Congress of American Indians
Jerry Danforth, Project Consultant, EagleIntel Network
Jeanne Jerred, Councilwoman, Colville Tribe, Washington State
Steve Cadue, Chairman, Kickapoo Tribe of Kansas
The event takes place at the National Press Club [Web Site] from 9:30am to 11:30am in the Holeman Lounge.
