"In their disagreement about plans for a tribal casino in the Columbia River Gorge, Rep. Greg Walden, R-Ore., holds a stronger hand than his colleague, Rep. David Wu, D-Ore.
Walden supports a proposal by the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs to build a casino at Cascade Locks within his 2nd Congressional District.
Wu opposes the project. So do some of his supporters, most notably the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde, who operate their own casino and don't want the competition. "
