The Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma still hopes to gain local support for a casino in Monroe, Ohio.
The tribe proposed an agreement with the city to share revenues from a casino. But opposition led the city council to table the deal on Tuesday.
The tribe hopes to buy 150 acres in Monroe near a major interstate.
