Oklahoma tribes meet for gaming conference

The 10th annual Oklahoma Indian Gaming Association conference is being held this week in Oklahoma City.

The three-day event features sessions on regulation, game classification and management. National Indian Gaming Commission chairman Phil Hogen gives the keynote on Tuesday.

A recently-approved gaming compact is expected to be the subject of discussion at the conference. Six tribes have agreed to share revenues with the state in exchange for offering more electronic games. The Bureau of Indian Affairs is questioning whether the agreement benefits the tribes, The Oklahoman reports.

More information on the conference can be found at http://www.oiga2004.com.
