The Meskwaki Tribe of Iowa says negotiations for a new compact with the state have yet to produce an agreement.
The tribe has been talking with the state since January. If an agreement isn't reached soon, the tribe's $100 million expansion plan could be derailed, said chairman Homer Bear Jr.
The casino is operating under an expired compact. It had been shut down for several months last year due to an internal leadership dispute. It ended when Bear was recognized as the tribe's legitimate chairman.
