Land Acquisitions
Out-of-state casino negotiations stalled

Land the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes of Oklahoma were eyeing for an out-of-state casino has been purchased by another casino group, The Daily Oklahoman reports.

The tribes and their backers looked at land in Central City, where gaming is legal, and were negotiating with the city's manager. But the manager now says those talks are no longer a priority.

The tribes filed a claim with the Department of Interior for 27 million acres of land in eastern Colorado. They said they would settle for 500 acres and gaming rights in the state.

More information about the casino project can be found at http://www.homecomingproject.org.
