The Torres Martinez Desert Cahuilla Indians of California met with the Mohegan Tribe to talk about a potential casino development deal.
The Torres Martinez tribe is based on a remote reservation. But a settlement approved by Congress allows the tribe to open a casino on land near an interstate.
The tribe does not currently operate a casino.
