Secret Service ordered to produce Cheney logs

A federal judge ordered the Secret Service to produce logs of people who visited Vice President Dick Cheney.

The Washington Post asked for the records two years ago. The Bush administration refused to release the information, calling it a "fishing expedition."

But U.S. District Judge Ricardo M. Urbina said the public is entitled to know who met with Cheney at the White House and at his personal residence. He ordered Secret Service the produce the logs by the end of the week, or at least identify them, and explain why they can't be released.
