The Navajo Nation presidential candidates are lining up endorsements as the November 7 election approaches.
So far, incumbent Joe Shirley Jr. has the most endorsements. He has the support of former president Peterson Zah, former president and current Arizona Sen. Albert Hale, former chairman Leonard Haskie and three former presidential candidates.
Opponent Lynda Lovejoy has endorsements from former chairman Peter MacDonald and one of the former presidential candidates. Lovejoy wants to the first woman to lead the tribe.
