The Senate Indian Affairs Committee will hold an oversight hearing this Wednesday on tribal self-governance.
The hearing is the committee's first on the topic during the 109th Congress. A witness list hasn't been made public yet.
Sen. John McCain (R-Arizona) is due to step down as chairman of the committee at the end of the year.
