Marcia Flowers, the chairwoman of the Eastern Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut, will address the United South and Eastern Tribes conference today.
Flowers is seeking support for the tribe's recognition bid. After losing a ruling before the Bureau of Indian Affairs, the tribe is considering a federal court lawsuit.
USET (http://www.usetinc.org) is holding its semi-annual meeting on the Oneida Nation in upstate New York this week.
