Battle brews over rights to Eastern Pequot casino

TUESDAY, APRIL 29, 2003 Two developers are claiming the right to develop a casino for the Eastern Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut. Before the tribe was recognized, its two factions chose different backers. The larger Eastern Pequot Tribe was working with golf developer David Rosow while the smaller Paucatuck Eastern Pequot Tribe signed with casino mogul Donald Trump. Rosow won when the issue was put to a vote of the tribe's new governing body. But Trump says he will file a lawsuit to stake his claim. Get the Story:
