"Montana has a Democratic governor and a Republican lieutenant governor, a very good Democratic U.S. senator and a Republican U.S. senator, and one U.S. representative who is a Republican.
This is our "winning team." We have Democrats and Republicans working together for the betterment of Montana.
Now, two of the team members have to be elected again for another term. Why should we change Sen. Conrad Burns, who has served Montana well? No matter how good another person may sound, if elected, they will only be a freshman in Congress.
Time magazine does not live and work in Montana. Burns and U.S. Congressman Rehberg deserve the full support of every Republican and a few Democratic votes to keep our "winning team" operating full speed for the good of Montana. We, of the Crow Tribe, are especially thankful to the senators of our "winning team" for their help in settling the 107th Meridian dispute. The benefits we have received from that settlement furnished the Crow Tribe with a nursing home for our elderly and many scholarships for our children that we could not have afforded otherwise. These are some of the ways the "winning team" has helped us."
