Sen. Conrad Burns (R-Montana) won't be celebrating his 71st birthday at a major Washington, D.C., lobbying firm after Jodi Rave of The Missoulian and other news outlets wrote about the event.
Burns will now hold the fundraising bash at the offices of the National Republican Senatorial Committee. It will still cost $500 for an individual and $1,000 for a committee to attend, or $1,000 for an individual and $2,000 for a committee to "host."
The event was originally slated for the offices of Cassidy & Associates, where one of Abramoff's former associates, Todd Boulanger, works.
