The Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians has hired about 184 people for its new casino and is still looking to fill more positions.
About 1,000 people have filed applications for the Bok Homa Casino. The tribe held two job fairs.
"The total number of people who will get job offers stands somewhere in an excess of about 350 people. Will are still processing applications at this point," spokesperson Warren Strain told The Laurel Leader-Call.
The casino will open in late December. The $18 million, 27,000-square-foot facility exclusively features Class II machines.
