The Absentee Shawnee Tribe will use money from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 for a bridge construction project.

The tribe is working with Cleveland County and the state Transportation Department on the $1.16 million project. The tribe assigned its rights to the county to facilitate construction.

The stimulus funds are coming from the Interior Department.
