Linda Sue Warner, a member of the Comanche Nation of Oklahoma, is the new president of Haskell Indian Nations University in Kansas.
Warner, who currently serves as a vice chancellor for the Tennessee Board of Regents, was one of two finalists for the job. She takes over Haskell on April 2.
Warner previously worked as a staff member at Haskell. She also worked for the Bureau of Indian Affairs for 18 years.
Warner replaces Karen Swisher, who retired December 31.
