Tim Giago has retired as editor and publisher of Indian Education Today, now known as Native American Review Magazine.
Giago, a member of the Oglala Sioux Tribe, said it was time to get out of the newspaper business. But he will continue to recruit Native journalists and write his weekly column. He also has book to promote.
Taking over for Giago at the magazine will be his daughter Denise.
