The trial of a Texas judge who took $15,000 from the former manager of the Kickapoo Tribe has been delayed.

District Judge Amado Abascal of Eagle Pass is charged with filing false campaign finance reports. He claimed that the $15,000 came from 15 different people when it actually came from Isidro Garza, according to county prosecutors.

Garza was the non-Indian manager for the Kickapoos. Along with several other people, he has been indicted as part of a wide corruption scheme involving former officials and employees of the tribe.
