The Kickapoo Tribe of Texas opened its brand new casino on Thursday.
The 110,000-square-foot building is three times the size of the old facility. It boasts an area where the Tejano Music Awards will be held next year.
The tribe wants to offer Class III games at the facility but the state of Texas won't negotiate a compact. The tribe is asking the Interior Department for a license.
