The Kickapoo Tribe of Texas is hiring gaming management compact Lakes Entertainment to oversee the growth of its casino.
The tribe and Lakes will enter into a consulting agreement, the company said. The agreement will last four years or until the National Indian Gaming Commission approves a broader management agreement.
The tribe opened an expansion to its Class II facility and is seeking federal approval to offer Class III games. The state of Texas won't negotiate a tribal-state gaming compact.
