"A reader called to report a robbery last week.

"As I was fueling up," said he, "I heard someone say, 'This is robbery!' ... You guys should write that a robbery takes place every 10 seconds."

The caller was at a gas pump. He went on to say that it would be impossible to "shame" oil companies for their crimes, but hoped to interest political leaders in the cause.

Well, I don't think we're being robbed. Sure, gas prices are higher. But so what? It's a fact of life that we are going to have to deal with. My hope is that we deal with the price of gas in a way that is smart and looks at the long view."
