The North Carolina Indian Housing Authority is accusing the Lumbee Tribe of ignoring a lawsuit filed over the control of Indian housing properties.
The authority owns and manages apartments that the Lumbee Tribe wants to control. But talks fell apart, leading to a judge to order tribal officials not to enter the authority's property.
The authority now says that the tribe has refused to take part in the lawsuit by failing to show up for depositions.
