Imprisoned American Indian Movement activist Leonard Peltier is challenging his sentence for the murders of two FBI agents in 1975.
Peltier's lawyers say the federal judge that sentenced him had no jurisdiction. The crime took place on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota.
Peltier has been in prison since 1976. He is in failing health and has been denied parole.
