State seeks to limit Miccosukee Tribe's role in case

The state of Florida is trying to limit the Miccosukee Tribe's role in the Everglades cleanup case.

The state claims the tribe doesn't have the right to question cleanup activities that do not affect tribal lands. The ancestral home is the Everglades.

The tribe has been a vocal critic of the $8 billion cleanup. The tribe if fighting a state water district over pollution pumped onto its lands. The tribe filed motions affecting pollution outside of the reservation as well.
