Churches hold 'prayer walk' against Kialegee casino project

Several hundred people participated in a "prayer walk" against the Kialegee Tribal Town casino in Oklahoma.

Participants walked to an Indian allotment where the tribe is building the Red Clay Casino. They were asked to pray "For the good of the Kialegee people," according to a flyer from the event.

The tribe expects to open a temporary casino on the allotment this spring. The National Indian Gaming Commission, however, hasn't ruled on the legality of the site.

Rep. John Sullivan (R-Oklahoma) plans to introduce a bill to block the casino, KTUL-TV reported.
