Calif. tribe hit hard by fire rebuilding reservation
Monday, February 9, 2004

The San Pasqual Tribe of California has been clearing the reservation of rubble left over from last October's wildfire.

The Paradise Fire destroyed 78 homes and more than 100 cars and trucks. Most of the 1,380-acre reservation was burned.

With the help of tribal members and heavy-equipment crews, the tribe has spent the last three months cleaning up the debris. The work is about 75 percent done.
