The Morongo Band of Mission Indians held an early Thanksgiving meal for evacuees of fires in southern California.

The tribe also donated $1 million to the Riverside County Chapter of the American Red Cross, the largest donation in the tribe's history. The tribe will donate $1 milllio to other charities.
