Testimony continues in the trial for the 1975 kidnapping and murder of American Indian Movement activist Anna Mae Pictou Aquash.
Richard Marshall, a member of the Oglala Sioux Tribe of South Dakota, testified on Monday after being granted immunity in state court. He was acquitted in federal court for his role in the case -- prosecutors alleged he provided the gun that was used to kill Aquash on the Pine Ridge Reservation in December 1975.
Marshall denied providing the gun. He also said he refused a request from other AIM members to "keep a woman" in his home -- the woman being Aquash.
Prosecutors say Aquash ended up in the home of Thelma Rios, also Oglala Sioux, in Rapid City. Rios has pleaded guilty for her role in the crime.
John Graham, a Native man from Canada, is on trial for kidnapping, murder and sexual assault.
