"It’s getting so old reading and hearing about all the steps regarding the UND Fighting Sioux nickname change; it’s every day.
I have an idea: Have UND go to the Chippewa tribes in Minnesota and North Dakota and ask them if we use their name, honoring their tribes the way we have the Sioux tribe.
A “yes” answer would mean no logo change, just a nickname change.
Go Fighting Chippewas! It doesn’t sound right, but it could grow on you if we didn’t have to listen to controversy about it any more."
