New evidence has surfaced against a member of the San Manuel Band of Mission
Indians who may have violated the terms of her probation.
Stacy Cheyenne Barajas-Nunez, 26, was sentenced to home detention after pleading guilty to a murder-for-hire plot. Barely two weeks later, she was arrested for an incident in the tribe's casino parking lot.
A judge was set to determine whether Barajas-Nunez violated her probation by going to the casino at a hearing yesterday. But the proceeding was rescheduled after new evidence, in the form of a DVD, was turned over to the defense.
Barajas-Nunez could face a minimum of 10 years in prison for violating her probation.
