A record 21 tribal members are serving in the Oklahoma Legislature.
Seven were elected this month. They join the 13 members of the Native American Caucus, a bipartisan group of lawmakers.
Most of the Indian lawmakers are Republican but five new Democrats were elected this year. They were supported by INDN'S List, a group that promotes Indian Democratic candidates.
