The Minneapolis public school board signed an agreement aimed at improving Indian student performance.
The school board has been negotiating with a group of Indian agencies. The talks resulted in a deal that will emphasize parental involvement, research and teaching methods.
as part of the agreement, the schools will designate the third Thursday in November as Native American Family Involvement Day. A task force will be created to implement the agreement.
