Appeals court blocks voter ID rules in Arizona

The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals blocked the state of Arizona's voter ID rules on Thursday.

The Navajo Nation opposed the rules, saying they would disenfranchise tribal members without photo identification or proof of citizenship. A federal judge previously declined to block the rules before the recent primary.

The 9th Circuit's decision means the rules won't be in place for the November election.
