Voters of the Blackfeet Nation of Montana went to the polls on Tuesday, ousting the two incumbents who were seeking re-election.
Incumbents Jimmy St. Goddard and Jay St. Goddard both lost their races to newcomers.
They had been the only two incumbents to make it to the general election.
Voters elected five new council members. They are: Paul J. McEvers, Roger "Sassy" Running Crane, Willie Sharp Jr., Rodney "Fish" Gervais and Ronald "Smiley" Kittson.
The council has nine seats. Members are elected to four-year, staggered terms.
