Long Standing Bear Chief says his new paper, The Piikani Sun, will take on corruption among leaders of the Blackfeet Nation of Montana.
Long Standing Bear Chief, also known as Harold Gray, says the current paper on the reservation, The Glacier Reporter, is not independent enough. He said the paper will not be political but will cover politics.
Opponents of the current tribal leadership say a new paper is needed. They are still angered over the removal of former chairman Allen Talks About, who was ousted after making allegations of corruption among tribal leaders.
