The Department of Veterans Administration signed an agreement with the Navajo Nation to reimburse traditional healers.
The VA will pay for Navajo veterans who participate in the Lifeway or Inaji ceremony. It is one of 13 Navajo ceremonies approved for reimbursement.
The ceremony was added because more and more Navajo veterans are seeking traditional methods of care.
