Haskell University expects record commencement


A record 186 students are graduating from Haskell Indian Nations University in Kansas this year.

Commencement starts on Friday. More than 2,500 people are expected to attend the ceremony and a two-day powwow on Friday and Saturday.

Eliza Lindquist, 28, is this year�s Student of the Year. She is a member of the Te-Moak Tribe of Western Shoshone from Nevada who has maintained a 4.0 grade-point average throughout her Haskell career. She is attending dental school in the fall.
